About Maggi Mae
As an artist it’s my mission to reconnect with the force of creation.
I grew up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where I spent my childhood playing in the forest. I would talk to fairies, create new spells & potions, pretend that I was surviving off the land. I have always felt a deep connection to the unseen world & to nature. Which is very present in what I paint. I find myself in constant discovery of self & of this magnificent world that we live in. Thus the art I create is also in constant change, moving with the flow of life.
Though I did not study art formally, I have found practice to be an incredible teacher, spending hundreds of hours in front of a canvas. Even with all the practice, in many ways I still feel like a beginner. A constant student to the craft.
I feel deeply inspired by my new surroundings here in Seattle, WA where I live with my soon to be husband. Water & glass have always fascinated me as a muse for my work. I am continuing to explore the way light dances with the translucent. My studies continue.
